Job Description
Prologis is hiring a Racking Load Capacity Engineer for the Chicago warehouse market. You will calculate and certify load capacities for pallet racking installations, prepare load capacity plaques, verify racking configurations against manufacturer specifications, and ensure compliance with local building code requirements for storage systems.
Requirements
- 3+ years of structural engineering or racking design experience
- Understanding of RMI load rating calculation methods
- Knowledge of racking component capacities (beams, uprights, connectors)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or path to licensure
- Experience with structural analysis software
- Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering
